WHY ARE FRONTSTREET MERCHANTS ALLOWED TO BLOCK TRAFFIC HIGH NOON? by concerned citizen “a”

Okay, St Maarten welcomes one and all, to set up and earn their money,
but why are so many taking advantage of St Maarten’s kindness,
and then they want to argue?
WHEN THEY KNOW THAT THEY ARE WRONG.
How many people had somewhere to go,
and emergency to attend to,
an appointment to make………
When some Store decides to LOAD AND UNLOAD,
THEIR ENTIRE CARGO, INCLUDING GARBAGE,
IN THE MIDDLE OF FRONTSTREET, ON A BUSY DAY?
We were disturbed by cars honking incessantly on Frontstreet on Saturday…
Why?
A store had decided AT NOON,
on a Saturday, with a ship in.
After roughly five minutes I came out and started taking pictures and videos.
One obese American unpacking had an attitude,
but I explain to him,
that attitude means nothing when you are wrong.
They were wrong for what they were doing,
and as the cars lined up
ALL THE WAY TO SONESTA GREAT BAY, the perpetrators,
chose to argue with other drivers,
and the videographer, rather than doing their unloading at a more convenient time.
The pictures will be posted.
Do these merchants know if there was anyone rushing a sick child to the doctor, in one of those cars
as they dawdled in the middle of the street on a Saturday afternoon?
Do they care?
Do they realize that they cost jobs and lives pulling these stunts,
and their only response is………….
YOU ARE NOT THE POLICE.
It’s supposed to be AGAINST THE LAW.
So my question is,
if you provide the police with pictures and/or videos of the businesses on Backstreet or Frontstreet who are doing this….
will something be done?
Will they at least be fined?
Or have they already paid off the patrol,
to ignore these……ahem…….minor indiscretions.
The video posted to Youtube
Pictures to both blogs

  1. Deliveries and or pic-up of merchandise should be early hours of the morning, such as 6:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. and that should be enforced and those disobeying thelaw should be fined. Put it in the Laws of the Land. Sint Maarten relys on tourism and it is realized that merchandise has to be brought to the stores, but it should not be done at the inconvenience of it’s residents.
