The Gendarmes questioned seven persons linked to the fatal shooting, but then released them.
The Milton Peters student was gunned down at a house in St Georges, French Quarter at around 8:30 in the evening on Thursday.
Gerald James’ mother told the Daily Herald, that her son had been in the wrong place, at the wrong time.
He had left with 3 other friends to visit a friend in St Georges for a farewell get together.
The boys had been hanging out, and while the owner went to buy some bread, someone called out and demanded that the youth come outside.
According to the mother, the shooter came to the door. While he was pushing in the door the person he intended to shoot was pushed
out of the wasy and the bullet hit Gerald instead, who was shot in the stomach.
